ACADEMICS

At the point of entry, we conduct a base-line assessment to determine the performance level of each student. On the basis of the outcome of the assessment, we are able to identify student’s strength, academic challenge and formulate an Educational Development Plan (EDP) that is unique to each of the student. Our teachers are therefore better equipped to motivate our students to achieve their academic potential. The beauty of using an EDP is that the students partakes in formulating it and therefore know what is expected and what to do to attain higher grades. We strive to achieve excellent teaching at all times. Our teachers use modern state of the art teaching techniques to disseminate information and impact knowledge. Lessons are routinely observed to assure quality. We assess students weekly in Mathematics, and bi-weekly in other subjects in the curriculum, to check the progress our students are making in their learning.

CURRICULUM

After 10 years of our existence as a Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum school (CAIE), we have opened up our curriculum to greater flexibility and academic rigor by embracing the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) curriculum. This decision is to offer an education that gives our students more exit options at the end of their secondary school education at Nobelhouse College. As a result, Nobelhouse College now offers a blended curriculum, and caters to students who would sit the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination, and the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE). We also cater to the needs of students who wish to sit IELTS, TOEFL, SAT and JAMB examinations because of our commitment to support our students to succeed in their choice of study.
